Decenuary · 13월
The month that isn't on the calendar.
We add a little light to ordinary days.
About
Between December and January
Decenuary joins two words, December and January. It names a month no calendar has: the quiet gap after one year ends and before the next begins.
In Korean we call it 13월, the thirteenth month. Like an extra month tucked onto the end of the year, it is time you weren't expecting, a small gift.
That is what we hope to be: something small that makes an ordinary day feel a little like that moment.
The mark
Light rising over the horizon, mirrored on still water. Not quite night and not yet morning: the moment our name points to.
The thirteenth month
One more month, for the small things
Calendars fill up quickly with plans, deadlines and to-dos. Decenuary is the extra page at the end, with room for the small joys that never quite fit anywhere else.
Moments
The moments in between
We are drawn to the gaps between one thing and the next.
-
Just before dawn
The sky turns from violet to pink, and the day hasn't asked anything of you yet.
-
The last night of the year
Everything is wrapped up and nothing has started. A pause that feels like a gift.
-
A minute to yourself
A short break in a busy day, just long enough to notice something small.
Principles
What we keep to
-
Small and whole
Each app does one thing, and we refine it down to the last detail.
-
A little wonder, every day
Small rituals that give an ordinary day something to look forward to.
-
Respect for your time and data
No tricks to keep you hooked, no endless feeds. We ask only for what an app truly needs.
Not quite night, not yet morning.
See you in the thirteenth month.
